We now have a number of events planned to celebrate our centenary year. Some are just for current members of the Group whilst others are open to all.

2015 Events
Tue 5th May – Family 100 Quiz
This is a quiz night for the whole group based around the theme of all things 100 and centenary related. It will be run in place of the weekly meetings.
Sat 16th May – History Open Day
Sun 17th May – Main History Open Day
Sun 17th May – Evening Celebration
Both open days are open to the public.
The evening event is for current and former members of the Group.
Sat 4th July – Summer Fayre
This will be similar to our usual summer fayres and as usual will be open to the public.
It will be full of stalls, the raffle, teas and coffees and so on but with bigger and better attractions and activities for you to see and do.
More details will be added as things are booked / planned.
Sun 26th July – Centenary Camp
This is the start of our centenary camp in France.
Sat 3rd October – Look Wide Walk
The Group will be taking part in the Look Wide Walk, a short walk from Fourstones to the cairn marking the spot where Baden-Powell held the first Scout Camp.
Sun 8th November – Remembrance Parade
The annual remembrance parade which will take place in Hawkeys Lane, North Shields.
Sat 14th or 21st November – Evening Event
This will be an evening social event for families and ex-members which will feature a guest speaker.
Further details will be added and the date confirmed once the speaker has confirmed.
Sat 5th December – Coffee Morning
This will be similar to our usual coffee mornings and as usual will be open to the public.
It will be full of stalls, the raffle, teas and coffees and so on but with bigger and better attractions and activities for you to see and do.
2016 Events
Fri 23rd April – St. Georges Day Parade
This is the annual District St. Georges day parade and service at Christ Church in North Shields.
The Group will be hosting the event which is open to families and it will be one of the closing events for our year of celebrations.
Fri 29th April – Mon 2nd May – Group Camp
This will be a long weekend camp for the Cubs and Scouts where the Beavers will be able to join in for a day. More details will be added as they are confirmed.
