Shooting Taster Sessions / Introduction to Air Rifles
£6 per head – Maximum 12 participants – 2 hour evening or Saturday session including safety briefing.
Master At Arms
£15 per head – Maximum 12 participants – 3 x 2 hour evening sessions (1 hour presentation at first session). Final session includes a competition.
£18 per head – Maximum 12 participants – 2 x 3 hour Saturday sessions (1 hour presentation at first session). Final session includes a competition.
Does not include the Master at Arms badge – these must be purchased by your group.
NSRA Youth Proficiency Scheme
£25 per head – Maximum 12 participants – 4 x 2 hour evening sessions. 1 x presentation sessions, 2 x shooting sessions, 1 x assessment session. Includes student manual, NSRA badge and certificate.
£30 per head – Maximum 12 participants – 2 x 4 hour Saturday sessions. 1 x presentation/shooting sessions. 1 x shooting/assessment session. Includes student manual, NSRA badge and certificate.
On completion of the NSRA YPS course the Master at Arms badge can be awarded by your group – the NSRA course covers over and above what is required by the Master at Arms badge requirements.
General Information
All sessions and courses will take place at the 3rd Tynemouth Headquarters, Billy Mill Lane, North Shields.
Session times: Evening – 7pm to 9pm. Saturdays – 10am to 2pm. However, all times can be changed on request and sessions can be doubled up on weekends.
Evening sessions can only take place on a Monday, Thursday or Friday when the HQ is not in use.
Age Restrictions: Shooting Taster/Introduction Sessions are available for Cubs onwards, however they need to be mature enough to understand and follow the safety rules and understand the potential for danger. All other courses are for Scout age onwards – although may be unsuitable for younger Scouts.
Fees cover the cost of pellets, targets, wear and tear/maintenance to the equipment when required and in the case of NSRA course – student manual/badge and certificate.
Tea and Coffee can be made available for a small donation to the group, on a session by session basis. Please request this in advance.
